Goodbye Bi-folded Door

This bi-folded wooden door is one of the nice yet problematic part of the house.
The door being bi-folded saves up spaces and looks slick compared to sliding or swing door. The wooden material also add on the the resort theme.
Nonetheless, there are also many problems we are facing due to the beauty of the door.
The door can only be locked from inside. We wanted a door that can be locked both ways!! For porky and safety for Alaric.
Our safety gate cannot be pressured mount to the frame. It is because when the door is opened, the panels of the door will take up one side of the full frame.
We tried to accommodate and find solutions to our need since our ID already fixed it - double lock and safety gate. Even to the extend of ordering a special safety gate from USA, that can be angled-mount but it is not pressured mount but drilling is needed. That is a no no. We even looked for a carpenter but he said its not possible to do.
We have no choice but to say goodbye to you!!

Hubbs loves this door. Sorry Hubbs we gotta say goodbye!


Sliding door is not possible as we already made a kerb for our beautiful fridge at the right sode of the entrance. So we are left with swing door. Thank goodness that it is not obtrusive.
New swing door will be changed in a week's time from now.
Hope it looks as good and will solve all our problems.
